More About Tonianne
Owner and Operator of Mountaincity Mutts, Tonianne Willier, fell in love with the dog care profession working at a dog daycare while attending the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology to attain her Bachelors of Social Work Degree.
Upon graduation, Toni knew she could not turn her back on what she knew was her true calling- working with dogs and their families. With her specialized counselling skill set and innate ability to listen and connect with people and their pets, Tonianne ventured forward to work part-time with dogs as a canine hydrotherapist in the spring of 2017.
Kindness, Integrity & Respect
Toniannes mission at Mountaincity Mutts is to provide the best quality dog care to their clients with kindness, integrity, and respect. Their goal is to enrich the lives of our dogs and our clients by delivering personalized pet care through services which promote the benefits of using force-free methods and education.
With her own words
"There is a profound bond that takes place when you swim with a dog. Whether you are teaching a dog how to swim, helping them rehabilitate from an injury, or providing comfort to them through their end of life transition, it is all about trust. Once a dog feels safe with you a connection happens that is so strong, it will stay with you forever.
My vision for MCM is to give dogs the skills and safety to explore and play in an environment which is natural and enriching to their senses and well-being. The name Mountaincity Mutts is a tribute to this beautiful city we live in and to all the wonderful dogs we share it with."
